The big, high-resolution screen of the iPad let's you use and enjoy large photos as wallpaper. iPad let's you use a different wallpaper for the Lock Screen (the screen that has the "slide to unlock" bar) and the Home Screen (the screens that display app icons).
Here are a few wallpapers we want to share with you. If you have an original iPad wallpaper that you'd like to share, tell us about it.
Florence Fresco Wallpaper
This is a picture of the fresco inside the huge dome of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Foore in Florence, Italy. The photo is impressive, especially considering the fact that it was taken with a then-common 2 mega-pixel camera.
Kauai Sunset Wallpaper
This photo was shot at dusk on the southern side of the island of Kauai. It was also photographed with using a handheld digital camera (nothing fancy).
Star Trek LCARS Wallpaper
Reminiscent of the control screens on Star Trek, this wallpaper was created to be used on the Lock Screen (in portrait mode). It was created using LCAR images from LCARScom.net and editing them together to fit nicely on the iPad screen.
