iPad Keyboard - How To Find Hidden Punctuation Keys

The iPad virtual keyboard is almost as big as a standard-sized physical keyboard, yet its still not big enough to readily show a number of common punctuation keys. Here's where you will find the apostrophe, m-dash, bullet, curly double quotes and curly single quotes keys.

Apostrophe
There are two ways to type an apostrophe. You can tap the apostrophe key on the Number keyboard (the keyboard that has the number keys along the top). On the Letters keyboard (the one that has mostly letter keys), hold your finger down on the exclamation key. An apostrophe key will pop-up. Lift your finger to type the apostrophe. ('Course, its a straight apostrophe, not a curly one.)

Curly Single and Double Quotes
On the Number keyboard, hold down on the apostrophe key. Then, slide over the single quote you want. For curly double quotes, hold down the double quotes key. You can choose from three curly quotes and straight quotes.

M-dash and Bullet
You can type an m-dash and bullet character on the Number keyboard by holding down on the dash key. The m-dash and bullet keys will pop-up. Slide your finger over the one you want and lift your finger to type it.
