Use an iMac for Large-Screen Photo Slideshows

The elegantly designed iMac with it's large screen and deep black frame is a wonderful way to show digital photos. And, because the iMac is fairly easy to pack-up and set-up, you can use it at parties and gatherings for a graduation, birthday, engagement, retirement - any event where showing a slideshow of memorable photos adds something special to the celebration.*

Before the Party
Use iPhoto to collect the pictures you want to share. Create an album of the best, most memorable and fun photos. (Don't forget embarrassing photos, too.)

At the Party
Once you've setup your iMac at the party, launch iPhoto. Then, click Library and select the album (or albums) you had created. Next, click the Slideshow button. The Slideshow settings window will open.

You can choose a theme from the Themes tab. Try the Ken Burns theme. It adds motion to a slideshow by stylistically panning across each photo.

If you want music to play during the slideshow, click the Music tab and select the music you would like to play, and make sure the "Play music during slideshow" checkbox is selected.

Finally, click the Play button to play the slideshow in full screen.

As the slideshow plays, you can go to any photo in the slideshow by moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen. Thumbnail images of all the photos in the slideshow will display. Slide the mouse along the thumbnails to jump to any photo.

*Please take great care when moving your iMac. If it is leaving the house, use the original iMac box to transport it in. Don't just toss it into a car's backseat or trunk.
